Cint are Gronw Roberts, Deian Owen and Ed Cox

Gronw has been a gigging musician since the age of 16, first playing guitar with the rock band Dylanwad Drwg (who recorded an album for Fflach, had videos played on the Welsh TV channel S4C and won the prize for best band in Wales’ National Eisteddfod of Wales in 1992), then bass for Diems and folk band Tra Bo Dau (which played their biggest gig in 1997 in front of 5,000 people and also recorded with Sain). He has also been seen acting on S4C in the series Y Parc and Cerddwn Ymlaen (alongside actors from starring roles in films such as Twin Town) and recently completed a Media Studies degree at the University of Wales, Bangor.

Deian comes from a very musical family, his parents being a famous Welsh duo - Rosalind a Myrddin, he practically grew up in recording studios and television shows. He has been playing in bands since the age of 16, first of all playing guitar in a local heavy metal band before gaining national exposure with Diems (playing keyboard). His intrest in dance music began in 1988 and slowly grew to an addiction by 1992. Deian has a HND in animation and has produced animated logos etc for Welsh videos. While in college he used to share his studio room with Kelly Jones, lead singer of the Stereophonics and can also boast tripping Esthter Rantzen and getting away with it!

Ed graduated from Liverpool University in 1996, gaining an honours degree in pop music. He holds a postgraduate diploma in Music Technology and is currently working towards an MA in Music (with technology) at the University of Wales, Bangor. In 1995 he co-ordinated Gog Rock, an underground Welsh music project which included Gorky’s Zygotic Mynci who were later signed to Fontana. He is a member of the Welsh pop music forum alongside representatives from the BBC, S4C, The Welsh Office and the three largest Welsh record labels (Fflach, Sain and Ankst). He was chosen to adjudicate the Welsh band contest at the 1997 National Eisteddfod of Wales and is currently working on The Welsh Pop Music Resource Pages - a website project to promote Welsh music. Ed has been a member and manager of several bands since the turn of the 90’s but has given up all other musical projects to focus on Cint.
