It is hoped that the appendices will include

• A timeline of the development of the Internet - an easy visual guide to accompany the overview in Section 1.
  
  
• Glossary of terms - definitions of terms used in the main body of the paper which are based in Internet or technological culture which may not be clear to the casual reader.
  
  
• Links to music- and audio-based sites on the Internet - If the paper is also presented as a hypertext document on the Internet, the appendix will provide instant access to the sites of companies discussed in the main body of the text. This will allow the reader to read for themselves developments in (for example) Microsoft's audio software, and will also serve as a resource base for anyone wishing to study this subject in the future.
