delivering music over the internet

The Internet has already changed the face of the music industry and is set to become a major force in the distribution of music over the next few years. With advancing technology it becomes easier for the musician to become a writer, producer, publisher, agent and distributor of his/her own work. This trend is known as convergence [31] and looks set to continue as prices of recordable CDs drop and the electronic distribution methods offered by the Internet improve and become more commercially viable.
